Preface: Wanting to write for SNL or some paid sketch comedy gig, every week I'll post 5-10 sketch ideas to keep the mind going. Think of these as pitches. By next week I'll hopefully have completely written one or two. The ideas range from G-rating to R and may not be suitable for SNL audiences but still... this is practice in being productive/proficient.
Sketch hiatus this week. Too many life things going on! Next week should be good!
Ok, one sketch- Marvel announcing phase 3 superhero movies. Marvel exec in front of a crowd of superheroes. Ok, you're in. you're in. come on over here you guys! Who are you? the inhumans. Yeah sure, why not! What's your backstory? I kill things? Sounds good, get on up here, etc. etc. etc. (DC character trying to sneak in- wrong room, wrong room, sorry)

Instead, just a bunch of possible hosts/reasonings for SNL:
1: John Mulaney- either to try and help boost ratings for his show or to keep up his presence (most likely has a project coming out)
2: at least one of these five timer club members: Tina Fey, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, John Goodman, Justin Timberlake- mid to late season pick-me-up.
3: Bill Murray- he's just been in the news a lot doing many cool, weird things. Might draw an interest.
4: Probably someone from Horrible Bosses 2. Most likely Bateman or Aniston. Would say Sudeikis but this already seems like a former SNL castmember as host season (although he should get his turn if he wants it)
5: Octavia Spencer- because.
6: Someone from Game of Thrones: bets- Maisie Williams, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Sean Bean - popular show points.
7: James Franco- he made a documentary about SNL and it's on Hulu.
8: Christina Hendricks or one of the female leads from Mad Men - gear up to Mad Men finale points.
I don't keep up with music so it's anyone's guess. At least:
1: Lindsey Stirling
2: The Piano Guys (playing Cello Wars)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
