Sketch-a-Pot-a-Mouse

Preface: Wanting to write for SNL or some paying sketch comedy TV gig… it’s important to keep up with the activity.  There isn’t a much better way than practicing to a standard, in this case I'll be using SNL's.  As mentioned in my writing goals list, SNL asks its writers to pitch sketch ideas on Monday and have fleshed out sketches early Wednesday morning.  So… every week I will try to pitch aboot 5-10 sketch ideas.  See what people think about them and choose 1-3 to write (everything depending on time).    

Possible Sketches: 

• Desks - junk in desk - guy told he’s fired must remove all junk. takes him years. fire him. tell someone else to do it. takes longer. guy retires. 1st guy gets hired in new job to clean out desk.  eventually boss says to just get rid of desk. Can’t. Desk has babies now.

• 3 people having a conversation with each other but really having a conversation with themselves

• Women on dryers/washing machines

• Minor revenge tactics- possibly a call in show 
• Fart on pillow, any sort of flatulent-related response will work well. um...

• Pill-poppers

• Santa Claus in July 
• "We’re going to need you to work more."

• Song parody to "we’re not going to take it any more” 
• Oh, wait, I think we're going to take it. 

• Scientific journal of absolute rubbish

• Something to do with bleachers- remniscent of Jim Carrey’s cheerleader in a way 
• -male cheerleaders scantily clad?

• Book titled: who reads this stuff anyway?

• Game: spot the killer. (obvious game with befuddled contestants). Who's ready for the next round?!

• Asshole using a white board- I just want to talk and draw. this could possibly turn into a solo monologue song

Progress:
Filmed some sketches over the weekend.  Revisions made. Sadly no other updates.
